Wah Pedal Lube at Lucy Stclair blog

Wah Pedal Lube. I have to change an ageing pot in my wah and noticed the stock one has the teeth wheel partly covered with a sort of white grease: It's hard to properly lubricate (wahey) the squeaky part of the crybaby without taking it apart. I have a vox wah pedal that i really love, however it has a quite audible crackle around the top position. Basically, you'd want to remove the cylindrical rod (wahey). The vox is similar to the dunlop cry baby. Is there any specific lube/grease i should use (or any i should avoid) to put on the wah pot pinion gear and rack gear? My wah pedal (gcb95) is squeaking when i rock it back and forth, is it okay to just use wd40 to lubricate it or is there a specific lubricant. What sort of lubricant/grease would you use for that to loosen up the feel of the wah wah pedal?
