Audi Q7 Trunk Not Opening. I have recently bought my audi q7 from usa and i am on the other side of the world where has no audi dealers in my area but only. The trunk release (on the trunklid, above lic plate) does not open the trunk. I've had the q7 about two weeks and had the trunk open multiple times (at least half a dozen) without me pressing the key fob. It is possible the rear lid does not open all the way on the 4l audi q7 2007+. This may happen if there was recent work that was. A little while later it happened. After playing around with the bad latch, it is pretty easy to test your locking latch if you are having this problem with the rear lid not.
