Chipset Fan Not Spinning. Im new here and need some help. If you want it to be on (pointless) then you can change. I've tried connecting it to the system and pump headers to the same result, and connecting a case fan to the cpu header works,. I have a msi meg x570 meg ace, 170 bios. If the fan spins up on startup then stops, it is just testing to see if the fan works or not. It should turn on when the chipset is. That's a good thing, it means the chipset isn't getting hot enough for the fan to turn on. Chipset is running over 60c and still not kicking in, although i don't think that it even needs to go that high. Possibly the motherboard vrm fan has a zero rpm feature where it will turn on at a certain temperature to maintain a quiet. I've noticed 2 strange things:
