Float Bowl Vent. I went through a long careful rebuild (thread here). My holley 4160 is still shooting fuel out of the vent tube of the secondaries. Its just a vent for the float bowl, and it may be cut straight or slashed. Not the best option, but viable. Put a short piece of fuel line on the vent. The float bowl vent is used to keep the float bowl from becoming a vacuum chamber and in later years is used to vent fuel fumes back. Up till the mid 60's, many float bowls were open vented. The one by the vent from the bowl is the well, the center hole is for the bolt that holds the carb together, and the 3rd hole is the vent. The holley fuel bowl vent tubes are available with a standard angled cut or j style. Keep the fuel in the carburetor for safety and performance!
