E90 Water Pump Not Working. Hello everyone, so i replaced my waterpump and thermostat on an 09 e92 335i with the n54 after getting a waterpump. The water pump will not cycle on. Yes the water pump and thermostat were replaced. I'm getting code missing water pump but the pump works when the car is cold and stops after 15 min Only the water pump failed but with these cars, one thing goes, the other component. My water pump was failing at ~110k miles, would intermittently work, replaced it with a 3rd party, ran good for. Put it all back together. If the coolant pump runs dry, it can be damaged and the pump might fail later. I was told that coolant level was low ( 1l added ) and hose from cylinder head needs replacement, along with water pump. If the pump is removed, it must be filled with coolant before being placed aside. Flushed the coolant system (had some oil in it, from the gasket leak).
