Normal Oil Temp Ram 2500 Diesel. I have an actual oil temp gauge in my truck, as measured @ the oil cooler outlet. In my truck was new i remember it running around 212. For those running a 6.4 hemi in a 2500 what are your average oil temperatures? Truck did great but i noticed something odd (at least to me) with the oil temps, i use the gauge summary view on the center cluster. F, and the max coolant temp is 300 deg.f before. While down towing our rv in the south and temps in the 90's at times, water temp would stay around 228 to 235 f. Highest temps i saw pulling 16k up and over wolf creek pass both ways, or in co springs rush hour, was around 215 coolant/oil. On steeper grades i seen the oil temp hit 259. Coolant 218 and oil 230.
