Bmw E53 Rear Door Won't Open. Greetings my x5 2001 3.0i after replacing the driver door handle the door still will not open from outside but no issues from inside. The lock still goes up and down when i use the remote control. My drivers doors hasn't closed with central locking for years,. My passenger rear door wont open, from inside or out. I was able to latch the wire onto the lock mechanism and press downward while attempting to open the door from inside, but to no avail. Yesterday i got in the car from this door to do some cleaning inside and was never able to get out using that door. All other remotely actuated door locks. It hadn't been opening from the inside for almost a year (which i put up with) and then recently the outside handle/carrier came. Problem is my drivers door wont open from inside and outside. I've got a problem with the passenger door on my e53 which won't open. The actuator seems to work as the button goes up. On the rear passenger door, there will be times (maybe about 1 in 10) where my rear passenger cannot open the door even though.
