I was able to get it out using a dead blow hammer and a deep socket. The only problem i have with mine is that the seals leak constantly because there are grooves worn around where the seal rides. I am replacing the pinion seal on my 71, 3/4 ton pumpkin on my 51, 1 ton. I'm going to do the differential swap later along but want the ho52 cleaned up for now. It ended up being pretty easy and didn't damage. Does anyone know where to find ho52 wheel seals? 1) despite my rear end being an eaton (either a ho52 or ho32), in replacing the pinion and ring gear, do they have to be eaton?
