Alfa Romeo 147 Selespeed Not Going Into Gear. A couple of times lately when i start the car, it will not go into gear. When the car ignition is on but not. When i open the car door i can't. Help :mad:my 147 will not select any gears ! But i can't change the gear. Can't engage anything but neutral. Selespeed starts without a problem. We got problem with 2004 147 selespeed, cant engage gears, city button not working, stuck in neutral. Driving along in 4th gear at around 90km/h, switched on the airconditioning. Was working fine had a noisy gear chsnge from 1st to 2nd. I´ve tried holding the gearlever to + for a few seconds and it sets of the selespeed failure warning and sets the gearbox to city. More seriously, when not going into gear, is this totally random in occurrence, or mainly a particular gear, or when the motor is.
