Volvo 940 Alternator Belt Replacement at Alexis Stanford blog

Volvo 940 Alternator Belt Replacement. My 940 is not a turbo. Does anyone here have said vehicle and can tell me what size belt it actually is? I need to replace what i think is an alternator belt on my 1990 740 station wagon. I don't do much car repair, but i can't get a shop to fix it on. I ordered three new continental belts from the autohaus for $35.43. The alternator belt goes from the crank to the alternator pulley. One for the air conditioner, one for the alternator, and one for power steering and the water pump. Am i properly trying to replace it, i loosen the tensioner. The belt is in the front of the engine, on top of where. The ac belt goes from the crank to the ac pulley. I am trying to replace the alternator belt on my 1994 940. The belt from the fly wheel to the generator on my '93 940 volvo came off. The car is equipped with three drive belts: It looked easy but alas i am having issues. My local volvo dealer, galpin volvo, was happy to provide me with new alternator bushings for the sum of $27.33.
