Steering Wheel Stiff G35. My 07 g35 automatic coupes steering is somewhat. The steering wheel intermittently shakes at over 60 mph. It turned out the steering little knuckle that connects to the steering. oil level is fine now but my steering wheel is stiff. i replaced my ps pump because it was leaking and then right after it was stiff with the new pump. Also i tried to make a left/right turns and let steering wheel to. the steering on the g is heavier than other cars that have overly powered steering, presumably for a sportier feel. currently my steering wheel on my g35 coupe is hard cant even described it as stiff just for the fact that it cannot make a full turn. i developed a vibration problem this past spring in my 6mt sedan. is the g35 coupe steering wheel supposed to be somewhat stiff when turning the wheel?
