Keihin Carb Heater at Barbara Macdonald blog

Keihin Carb Heater. I have taken some pics of what i suspect is the carb heater kit. I was watching a couple new genuine keihin carbs for the 350 ranchers on ebay for a fair price and they included the heater. A little undersized for the bike and jetted too lean for optimum. I was using it on my 2011 ktm 300 with stock keihin carb. This pipe takes a feed from the solid pipe above the spark plugs. This kit includes the hoses, clamps, insulating jacket, thermostat, stat housing, t's, carb heater, etc. The heaters themselves are simple resistors, they create heat as a result of current passing through them, in turn, when mounted. My bike runs keihin cvrd 43 without any carb heaters (2004 eu model) does any one know if a swap my carbs with ones from a later. I'd also like to add this is a standard keihin pd carb, not to be confused with the cheap copies found on the internet. This heater is a clamp on style.
