It had no vent on the tank itself but the cap had the automatic vent which sucked. I bought a new tank and left my fuel line connected once. I have a brand new scepter 6.6 fuel tank, it has the new style carb compliant cap for the new epa regulations. I has a vent on the top, but only. The tank would swell up like a balloon in the sun but still. My boat won't run with the vent closed. My solution was to scrounge around and find a lid from an older tank.
