Witch Homebrew Class 5e

This is a heavy revision of a 5e class created by Reddit user /u/Zarieth. Some of the major revisions include: spellcasting ability; Coven progression and Coven features; Familiar features. Enjoy!

Also, a witch gets into any of these covens when they follow a specific pattern of magic, like the Sea Coven uses mainly water spells, or the Sun Coven uses mainly light-related spells. Familiar A Witch would be incomplete without their Familiar. Wizards and other spellcasters sometimes summon magical companions, but their fluffy friends pale in comparison to the binding force between and Witch's Familiar and it's Witch. When you gain your first level in this class, choose a familiar from the list of Witch's Familiars.

For inspiration, my two favorite homebrew witch classes are from Mage Hand Press and Worlds Beyond Number. The former leans into curses, hexes, and the empowered familiar. The latter is more inspired by Studio Ghibli, and leans into spirits and crafting (with a unique mechanic where you can trade a spell slot to create certain magic items).
