Vw Fuel Metering Valve N290. It appears that i may have a bad/faulty low pressure fuel sensor but i can't seem to locate it in the bentely manual. Does anyone know where it's located and the vw part. Fluctuated some and when fault triggered, actually a few seconds before, fuel metering valve had dropped to under 14. On top of our tdi’s high pressure fuel pumps, one will note the n290/fuel metering valve attached by two torx screws. Short to ground possible symptoms. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor, but no fix. The p0089 (valve for fuel metering n290 implausible signal) and p2293 (fuel pressure reg valve) code are still coming up though. P0089 valve for fuel metering (n290) volks wagen golf r. Malfunction indicator light (mil) on; Then last night i replaced the n290 valve (no sign of metal on the gauze). Since i have intermittently been getting both high and low pressure faults, i am assuming that it is either the fuel metering.
