Bmw E36 Climate Control Not Working. Any reason my climate control wouldn't work? I did a search but most information that came up is the whole climate control unit is acting weird, and/or the blower motor resistor. Every other car i have owned with auto climate control worked this way, but my bmw doesn't. When i start up the car the climate control unit does not start up. Now its not blowing any air what so ever. If you have just acquired your e36 and don’t understand how to work the climate control or what the buttons do then have a look. Changed the climate control unit with another friend and all was working fine on his car and still not on mine. I have a 1993 e36 318is, it has digital climate control, and its been working fine for over a year now. Independant ventilation is not working. Other cars get set to 68* and if.
