Hello, I am renovating my bathroom and am wondering how good wall panels are in the bathroom? I've seen some nice embossed tile effect ones and they look easier to maintain and install than regular tiles. Just wondering if anyone had them and could comment on how good they are compared to tiles. Thank you in advance!
18 year old bathroom needs a little tlc (on the cheap) mainly a new bath panel. We currently have a white gloss wooden one which has served us well but has warped slightly along the bottom where it's absorbed water over the years. What are the best bath panels to have these days?
When we got our bathroom done a few years ago we got wet wall put in instead of tiles and grouting. Our shower is also over the bath and the panels cover the wall from ceiling to bath like the tiles would have. I love them, very easy to keep clean and no filthy grout to deal with.
Wal panels are ideal for covering rough surfaces, and have built in look a like grout, so no more dirt grout problems. Easy to cut and install.

The panels are expensive to buy, so you're likely to pay more per square metre, but potentially save money on fitting because they are quicker to fit and you don't have to pay a tiler. For our recent bathroom, the panels we liked worked out just as expensive as buying the equivalent tiles and paying the tiler, so that's why we didn't go with it.
Has anyone opted for wall panels instead of tiles for a bathroom? Ordered some samples and I'm not sure I like them, I expected them to be slightly 3.
