Curious logo ad doesn't appear to have been generated by either Mercedes or BMW, but that is not stopping the debate over who the ad is for. Mercedes-Benz's CEO, Dieter Zetsche (popularly known as Dr. Z), is retiring from his post today-and Benz archrival BMW has something to say about it.
BMW released a video about Zetsche's. The ad, ostensibly for BMW, shows the Mercedes logo transforming into the BMW logo as it starts spinning, with the motion blur turning the famous star into the famous propeller. It's currently the most popular post on Reddit's r/DesignPorn page - but we're not sure if it's quite as clever as it looks.
