The Library offers a Virtual Reading Room service to enable researchers to make online appointments to consult our Special Collections and Archives remotely. Please provide your institutional context and discuss why you decided to develop Virtual Reading Room (VRR) or Virtual Teaching Space (VTS) services. Following the success of VRR set ups at other institutions SHL was keen to implement something similar as part of its Library Transformation Programme.

Senate House Library is the home library of the School of Advanced Study and the central library for the University of London. Join Senate House Library to access millions of books and periodicals, electronic resources, beautiful study spaces, free notebook and iPad loans (within the Library), and the option of renting a private study space.

You can use it to find your way to collection areas, reading rooms, group study spaces, lifts and stairs, service points, scanner/printers, the accessibility suite, fire refuge points and toilets. The Special Collections reading room is on the 4th floor of the library and is an invigilated, silent area. Please show consideration for others while using the room.
