The G70 is a great car. The M340i is a quicker car with a superior engine and transmission. The B58 is one of the best engines made.
Dealer experience is likely to be better at BMW and they have a bigger dealer network. I went with the G70 as I wanted to try something different and I wanted an LSD. BMW only offers LSD in M cars and I didn't want to go with an M car though the M2 still calls my.
