When the Army Air Force became the United States Air Force your jeep moved to the Air Force and received a coat of Air Force Blue paint. Navy jeeps were painted battleship gray not blue.

I recall color names of Haze grey and Matte Slate grey. I was corrected that the ships were painted a color called ' Non-Specular ' Blue-grey, when, for years, I had thought it was officially ' Non-Spectacular ' Blue.
