Posted April 26, 2020 According to my BMW R1250RT Repair Manual, the oil capacity in the bevel gears is 180ml (Latest version). Hi, looking for the oil quantity, for the final drive on my 2022 1250RS, I have in mind reading 180ml, but also 250ml, so confused on that, and also the torque settings for the two plugs. Shall change the engine oil, filter, and rear oil as I am about to hit 3,000km, an figure its a good time.

It looks like the genuine BMW oil with this spec costs about £40 for 500ml! What can have changed inside the drive to warrant using this super expensive oil?
