Op, don't see people mentioning this, but bathroom mirrors are often better for steam/ moisture, but you can totally use a regular mirror which is usually cheaper. There are also a few recessed cans in the ceiling of the bathroom, so we should be good on light with those and a backlit vanity mirror. I like both of them to be honest and really stuck. Hubby likes the round mirror better. So as of now that's winning.

You can replace your bathtub for $200, subway tile to the ceiling for $200 (adding custom shelving for another $100 or so).
