And can't wait for a clean Android TV Rom. It will be amazing since I need to use an American account to use this fire stick 4k in my country. Unlocking the Fire Stick bootloader / rooting the Fire Stick To unlock the Fire Stick bootloader and root it, I followed the instructions on XDA.

The gist is: download, and create a bootable image of, a specific Arch Linux.iso boot from the.iso remove the plastic work and some of the internal shielding from the Fire Stick. A new rooting method is available for the 2nd & 3rd gen Cubes. It can easily be run on the Cube to gain temporary root access, and used to disable all the package protections so that any apps can be enabled/disabled again without root.
