Bmw 530i Reliability Reddit

530i has the B48 4 cylinder and the 540i the 6 cylinder B58. The B58 is currently one of the best engines you can get. But both should be pretty reliable.

But there can always be some problems (especially if they weren't maintained right). I test drove a 530i a few days ago and loved it. I haven't found much online about this generation of 5 series.

What has y'all's experience been reliability wise? Also, I know y'all are probably gonna recommend I get an in-line 6. I can, it'll just be a 40k plus mile example. Would y'all still get that over a 530i with 25.

A 530i can get basically every single option a 550i is available with, and a 550i can be ordered with basically no options, meaning you really can option the car out exactly how you want.
