Bmw 740i Reliability Reddit

How reliable is a used 2019 740i with 18k miles? Are they a sensible purchase? Hey all, I'm looking to upgrade to a proper luxobarge, but I've heard some really nasty things about cars like these giving owners trouble sub 30k miles. Do you all have any advice? If you want luxury, reliability, cheaper maintenance, and cheaper to fix when something does go wrong then go with Lexus or genesis. If you're going to spend 100k on a bmw or Audi just go all out and buy a bad ass one like an rs5 or m5. Is the G11 740i / G30 540i reliable? I've recently looked into the 740i/540i which also comes with a B58 and they're about the same price or only few grand more than the cars mentioned above. Beautiful car. 740i has B58 which is arguably one of BMW's most reliable engines.

I have a G12 (this generation 7 series) and it's my favorite car I've owned so far. Drives amazing for something of this size. Maintenance is pretty average for a BMW.

Now that the G11 is. 2023 740i loaner experience My 2020 750 went in for warranty work and was out for longer than expected. I did get a chance to use a loaner car for a week and it was a 2023 740i.

I'm confident a majority of people dislike the way it looks. All I can say is that the pictures do not do it justice. I think (not sure) if you are buying from a BMW dealer / service center, you get the original warranty (4 years from the manufacturing date), which means it is always best to buy the newest model year you can afford.
