I recently purchased an '87 Tercel 4WD from a friend of mine. Needs a little body work, but nothing else. What I am looking for is info on off roading this thing.

We took it out in the woods one day driving on quad trails. After about an hour of climbing hills, over obstacles, banging it off. I wonder how much work it would be to adapt this engine to the 4wd tercel trans, or perhaps going to the Toytoa 4wd truck trans to get more durability.
