Toyota Tundra Trd Pro Ride Quality

One reviewer said in an article that the TRD Pro rides nicer than the standard 4x4 tundra because the first inch or two of travel is softer on the pro and makes it more streetable. Has anyone done the TRD Pro upgrade on their 4x4s and can comment on the difference? I'm going to be 90% street, 10% offroad. The Downsides Unfortunately, the Tundra TRD Pro's ride quality leaves much to be desired, both on paved roads and off the beaten path.

You can't really compare RAM Laramie ride quality to Tundra SR, especially the super long wheelbase. The TRD OR rides the best out of Tundras but RAM is slightly better. the Toyota trd engineers really did their homework to build a great truck that has smooth manners on the street and capable off road manners.

To each his own but tinkering with the components that can change the pro's ride often takes away from what the engineers designed. I'm looking at both the platinum and the pro trims. I very much love the rugged look of the pro, enjoy the more 'luxury-esk' of the platinum.

My question is how much difference is the ruggedness of the ride quality between the pro? Is it that significant? The seats I believe are from.the limited trim, and the platinum is obviously leather. The 4x4 TRD drove worse. It let's you feel every bump in the road.

I test drove both and was sold on the ride quality of the 4x2 Non TRD model. I think the differnece is in the bilstein shocks that come on the TRD package. They ride very, very stiff.

Also the 4x4 because it is heavier maybe, rides alot worse as well. Based on research, I thought that the TRD Pro suspension should have had better on road ride quality compared to the TRD off road and other Tundra versions (described as "Cadillac-like") which was also why I looked for and purchased the trim. If not, given the mileage, is this something that needs to be adjusted/rebuilt/replaced?

The ride quality from the new five-link rear suspension, Fox dampers, and the addition of the TRD front anti. I moved from a ram limited with air suspension to a tundra 1794 with the regular suspension and frankly the ride is awful. It's floaty at high speeds.
