#Camperolla car camping in a small 1998 Toyota Corolla I got Camperolla when I was 16 and had it for 18 years until 2021 when I upgraded to a minivan. Camperolla had about 270,000 miles on it and went through 40 states. I started sleeping in Camperolla back in 2010 on my first long distance road trip from Alabama to Alaska.

Have any of you used your Corolla Hybrid for car camping? How was it? Can a 6'2" person sleep comfortably with the rear seats removed? Is it bad to idle a hybrid powertrain? The Toyota Corolla is a beloved car known for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and affordability.

But can this popular sedan handle the task of pulling a camper? I wouldn't recommend this for extended stays or serious camping but in my case it's perfect for the overnight mountain bike trips (I've just never liked tent camping) with enough room for my mtb gear, camping chair, and a medium sized cooler. If anyone is interested in my hitch.

Watch as I transform my Toyota Corolla 2012 into a fully functional car camper, despite having no prior building experience. Anyone camp in a Toyota Corolla or really small sedan without a hatchback? Would love to see your setup! (I know camping in a Corolla isn't ideal, but sometimes ya have to work with what you got!).
