Indianapolis Algorithmic Trading and Finance Code of Conduct policy

The organizers of Indianapolis Algorithmic Trading and Finance are dedicated to providing a harassment-free meetup experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, political affiliation, or socio-economic status. We do not tolerate harassment of members in any form, either online or offline. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any part of our meetup, or official online Indianapolis Algorithmic Trading and Finance communications. Meetup members violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the group without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

    Sexual images in public spaces

    Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following

    Harassing photography or recording

Sustained disruption of talks or other events

    Inappropriate physical contact

    Unwelcome sexual attention

Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior

Advocating against the code of conduct

Interfering with staff activity in relation to the code of conduct

Enforcement

Members asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Speakers, staff, volunteers or vendors, are also subject to the anti-harassment policy.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, organizers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Event organizers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the event or making the environment hostile for any participants.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social activities. We think people should follow these rules outside event activities too!

Reporting

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible.

As we are a new group, we are working on coming up with an anonymous method for for making a report. Right now, available methods are: 1) contacting our lead organizer, Jeff Neuenschwander, via e-mail at neutrade .atnospamat. gmail.com. We hope to have a web form soon, but rest assured that if you make a report to this e-mail using a throwaway or other anonymous e-mail address, we will investigate it fully. Additionally, if you would like to make a report at an event, you may discretely speak with Jeff at an event and we will make sure that you are able to give your report in a place where you won't be overheard. We are working on coming up with better and more anonymous reporting methods, but please bear with us as we are a brand new and small group.

Harassment and other code of conduct violations reduce the value of our meetup for everyone. We want you to be happy at our events. People like you make our event a better place.
