Baby sizes 0-3.5 typically fit ages 0-11 months. Toddler sizes 4-10 typically fit ages 1-3 years. Little kids’ sizes 10.5-3 typically fit ages 4-8 years.

Measure from heel to toe for the most accurate measurements of your child's feet. Remember, growing feet need room to wiggle, so don't be afraid to size up if you're between sizes. October 30, 2025 -flip flops, which are labeled in general sizes XX2 through XXL, Carter’s shoe sizes are simply labeled with numeric sizes only, until you get to big kids’ shoe sizes 1 to 3, which are labeled “Y” for youth. Unlike men’s and women’s shoes, babies’, toddlers’ and kids’ shoe sizes are gender neutral. There is no difference between a boy’s size 10 and a girl’s size 10 shoe.
Print the chart and have your child stand with their heel on the dotted line and measure each foot—with socks if sizing for sneakers. The number nearest to the longest part of their foot is their numeric size. If they’re in between sizes, opt for larger.
