The 1200 splines are a different kettle of fish. I get a few a year with worn splines. mainly to water ingress due the appalling quality of the rubber gaiters used on the 1200 swingarm and paralever.
You need a grease specifically for splines, not an anti. I was perusing Jim von Baden's tutorials, and specifically the Final Drive service where he shows how to lube the driveshaft splines. I can't seem to find at what intervals these splines need re-greasing - at least nothing in the BMW service DVD for the CAMHEAD.

You should drop your final drive every two years and lube the splines in the rear. Grease the boot so it will seal well. Buy a new one if the plastic reinforcement piece in each end is broken.

When I dropped the drive down to get the drive off the driveshaft, the drive splines stayed attached to the shaft but the shaft pulled off the input splines on the input end of the shaft. I did a Final Drive Spline Lube last week on my 2021 R nineT Classic. It had 21k miles when doing the lube. For curiosity sake, I called a dealer that sells BMW to find out the cost of that service.
