Hi all, I am painting my kitchen cabinets to a grey and have prepped the cabinets as below. We degreased, sanded and used methalynated spirit to prep the doors. We then used Zinsser BIN as a primer (1 coat) and intend to use Zinsser AllCoat Water Based Satin as a topcoat (colour matched).
Zinsser Allcoat Zinsser Allcoat is a popular choice among professionals and DIYers alike thanks to its self-priming, easy-to-apply formula that can be tinted to almost any colour of your choosing. It's durable, can be washed and wiped clean repeatedly and can be applied using a spray, brush or roller to suit your own preferences. I'm midway painting kitchen and have tried the Rustoleum and Zinsser allcoat, am finding the latter better and I like that it can be colour matched to any colour.
I'm not sanding and have used Zinsser Bin as primer but ran out and about to switch to Zinsser 123 plus. Previously did one in a Johnstones trade oil eggshell with Zinsser 123 and looks good 5 years later. With its durability and versatility, Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Paint is a great choice for those looking for a long-lasting and effective coating solution.
