My wife and I went shopping for bedroom furniture this past weekend and in our search, found West Elm. The prices were high but not outrageous so we ended up ordering the Mid Century Platform bed, the modern 6 drawer dresser, modern 5 drawer high boy, and 2 mid century night stands. I now find that the reviews are less than stellar for a lot of their products.

Does anyone know anything about. The acorn mid century bed-frame from west elm is incorrectly proportioned. It has about 4 extra inches of space on EACH side of the mattress, you can see the light oak slats which don't match the bed color on both sides.

Back then, the Architecture Bed sold for $1100 and the West Elm version was around $750. I waited for a sale and paid between $500 and $600 (I don't remember exactly). It looked amazing.
