One of New York City's most famous residents is the ever elusive and capricious Eloise at The Plaza. Introduced to the public in Kay Thompson's Eloise: A book for precocious grown-ups - Eloise's mischief and antics have delighted readers and visitors of The Plaza since its publication in 1955. Skidder down the page to learn how you can live like Eloise through a stay in Eloise's pink.
Eloise at the Plaza is a 2003 American comedy television film based on the Eloise series of children's books written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight. It stars Sofia Vassilieva as Eloise, a mischievous six-year-old girl who lives in the penthouse at the top of the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The Eloise Suite at New York City's Plaza Hotel was designed by fashion designer Betsey Johnson. From the sparkly headboard on the king-sized bed to the striped walls and the neon nameplate on the wall, everything in the room (except the zebra patterned carpet) is pink. The Eloise Suite at The Plaza Hotel offers a unique blend of luxury and nostalgia, making it perfect for those seeking an unforgettable stay in New York City.
The Plaza of course is the famed Plaza hotel in New York, where Eloise takes up residence in the room on the "tippity-top floor." Eloise lives the life most children (and adults) fantasize about- mostly free of supervision, with no obligations other than joining the debutante balls, wedding parties and other happenings at the Plaza. As a child, one of my favorite books was Eloise at the Plaza. I dreamed of living in a fancy hotel (with my pet turtle and dog, of course), making everything pink, and drinking afternoon tea.
