Eco Mode Toyota Yaris Cross

I have a question about the uses of the Eco, Normal & Power setting on my 23 Plate Excel Cross with City Pack. Since new in July and only 1200 miles I have always used ECO but recently I tried Normal and the car is now so much more responsive. I will keep it there and monitor my MPG.
