The charging management features in the My BMW App enable you to remotely control and manage the charging process of your BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. You can view the current state of charge and driving range of the vehicle. Also, you can schedule the timing of when to charge your vehicle.
A prerequisite for registering with BMW Charging is a BMW ID. If you don't have a BMW ID yet, you can easily apply for one in the first step of the registration process here. Alternatively, you can create your BMW ID via the login page of the My BMW app or the BMW portal online by clicking "Register now".
To set up your account, open the My BMW App and, under Charging, select "More" and under Services tap "Shell Recharge" and "Get an account" Follow the instructions to enter the Shell. Alternatively, you can select an available connector from the displayed charging station. Start the charging process with "Order with payment".
Please note: You need an active BMW Charging contract for the vehicle you want to charge and it must be active in the My BMW App. Availability and range of functions may vary depending on the country.
