Bmw M550i Vs 750i
750i vs M550i Looking to buy a used luxury car and I am contemplating if I should buy a 2020 750i with 29k miles for $58k or i should buy an M550i with 34k miles for $54k. Both are certified pre owned. If there are any suggestions for a better buy like an AMG or something, i am open to those as well.
Go with the 550i. The 750 is too big. The M5 has to be driven in the full sport mode to enjoy it much better than the 550i and that mode is too high strung for everyday use.

The BMW M550i xDrive Is the More Likeable M Car The slightly softer, slower version of the M5 is also far more communicative and engaging. Deciding between M550i and 750Li 2018 My heart wants the M550i for the speed and sound and frankly looks. My mind tells me the insane rear leg room and air suspension and prestige of a 7 would be nice.
But are those the ONLY differences and are they really worth 40% more payment per month? My pocket book says no. UPDATE 5/14/21: This review has been updated with revised test results from the M550i's second visit to the test track. The results of round two were quicker, but still slower than what BMW claims.

Especially considering the M550i is not just better than an M5 - it's probably the best all.
