Waltham Boy Scouts: Building Character and Community

The Waltham Boy Scouts, a part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), have been shaping young lives in Waltham, Massachusetts, since 1910. This youth-led organization is dedicated to instilling values of character, citizenship, and leadership in boys and young men from the Waltham area.

Our History and Mission

With a rich history spanning over a century, the Waltham Boy Scouts have seen generations of Waltham residents grow and thrive under their guidance. Our mission, in line with the BSA's, is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs tailored to different age groups and interests:

  • Cub Scouts (Kindergarten to 5th Grade): Our Cub Scout packs provide fun, engaging activities that help boys develop character, learn new skills, and build strong relationships.
  • Scouts BSA (5th Grade to 18 years old): Our Scout troops offer a more challenging program, with outdoor adventures, service projects, and leadership opportunities that help boys grow into responsible, confident young men.
  • Venturing (14 to 20 years old) and Sea Scouting (14 to 20 years old): These co-ed programs provide high-adventure activities and real-world experiences that help young adults develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Our Impact on Waltham

The Waltham Boy Scouts are deeply committed to serving our community. Our Scouts participate in numerous service projects throughout the year, from park clean-ups and food drives to supporting local charities and assisting with community events. We are proud to help make Waltham a better place to live, work, and play.
