"Walk Thru Bethlehem" will be held at Woodmont Christian Church, at the corner of Hillsboro Road and Woodmont Boulevard in Green Hills, on December 8th from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Over 200 costumed characters and live animals recreate the village of Bethlehem at the time of Jesus' birth at Woodmont Baptist Church (2100 Woodmont Blvd., Nashville) from 12 - 6 p.m. The walk can take 20 minutes to an hour.
Activities are provided in the village shops for children to have hands-on experiences in basket weaving, carpentry, bread baking, wine and olive pressing and pottery. Journey to Bethlehem With Dramatic Actors, a Live Nativity and Real Animals Experience the true historical story of Christmas and the excitement of our Savior's birth in a spacious outdoor setting with dramatic actors, a live nativity and real animals. When asked to pick my favorite free Christmas events, the annual Walk Thru Bethlehem is always on my list. Not only is it a longstanding "old Nashville" institution, but it is one of those family.
