Apple Crumble with Oat & Pecan Topping

A comforting apple crumble with a delicious oat and pecan topping. Perfect for a cozy dessert.

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan/ Gas Mark 4).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with the caster sugar and cinnamon. Transfer to a 20cm baking dish.
  3. To make the crumble topping, rub the flour and butter together in a bowl using your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Stir in the oats, pecans, and light brown sugar.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
  6. Drizzle the milk over the crumble topping.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with custard, cream or ice cream.
