Academy House is a commercial building on Oxford Street, London W1. Sports Direct's new London headquarters and Flannels' flagship retail store. The building contains 15,000 sq ft retail space on three floors.
Completed in Q4 2017. 2017. The Academy House site has a rich history, from its origins as a 1930s pre-eminent Art House cinema to the club where the Rolling Stones made their debut, and its impressive list of neighbours including the Pantheon building and Shaw's Wrenaissance department store.
Prior to JRA's repositioning, the Oxford Street site housed a building originally designed by Sheppard Robson and built in. JRA refurbished and re-clad Academy House, a retail flagship and office headquarters on Oxford Street. The seven-storey building now features a distinctive terracotta faience façade.

The prominent design features include a distinctive blue corduroy-effect faience; which expresses the building's individuality whilst still complementing neighbouring buildings.
The project involves substantial remodelling of the concrete frame and complete re-cladding of the street-facing facades. In its new configuration the building will have four storeys of retail accommodation, with four storeys of office accommodation above. Academy House is located on Oxford Street and is the new HQ for major retail brand Sport's Direct.
The building has been extended and completely re-clad to create a new 3 storey retail unit with four office floors above. One of the key features Academy House is the design of distinctive dark blue "corduroy" faience elevations.
