That's right, the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, Kona Electric, and even the OG IONIQ Electric. Existing Hyundai EV owners will just need their VIN to claim their free adapter. Hyundai just made a major announcement that could make life much easier for electric vehicle owners.

The automaker is offering free Tesla Supercharger adapters to eligible Hyundai EV drivers, ensuring seamless access to Tesla 's vast and reliable charging network, according to CleanTechnica. Adapters will also be available for purchase through Hyundai authorized dealers Hyundai EV drivers will be able to charge at 20,000+ Tesla Supercharger stations via the NACS adapter NACS port and adapter ensures Hyundai EV drivers will have access to more than 38,000 NACS and Combined Charging System (CCS) DC fast chargers in the United States. Hyundai is making a significant move in the electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape by providing complimentary adapters to its existing EV owners, enabling them to tap into Tesla's extensive Supercharger network.

This proactive approach distinguishes Hyundai from competitors like Ford and General Motors, who have adopted a more cautious stance regarding the transition to the tesla. Hyundai will give many current Ioniq 5, 6, Kona, 5 N, and Genesis EV owners free CCS to NACS adapters to connect to Tesla Superchargers. The Hyundai EV owners will be able to charge their vehicles at 20,000+ Tesla Supercharger stations with a free NACS adapter.
