P0340 Bmw Z3

Hello Guys, I've got this code P0340 which is a inlet Camshaft Sensor failure. However the engine is running fine. It start up right away, idles good and good responds.

Where is this sensor located on a 99 Z3 2.5, the last digits on the Vin is LG00531. I tried looking at realOEM.com and never. Put differently, this means that code P0340 indicates a wiring problem, as opposed to a specific problem with the sensor itself.
