St Albans High School for Girls is a selective, independent day school for girls aged 4 – 18 years. Stephen Hawking was educated at the school between 1950-1953. Then, unlike today, boys were educated at the school until the age of ten.

University of Oxford

Hawking began his university education at University College, Oxford in October 1959 at the age of 17. And completed first-class BA (Hons.) degree in 1962. His physics tutor, Robert Berman, later said, "It was only necessary for him to know that something could be done, and he could do it without looking to see how other people did it."

He began his graduate work at Trinity Hall, in October 1962. Trinity Hall is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge, England. It is situated on the River Cam, nested between Clare College and Trinity College. Stephen Hawking, had been known as 'a theoretical physicist'. After then, He completed his Graduation in 1966.
