The engine was first used in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed.[1] Development of the Hedgehog Engine began in 2005, approximately a year before Sonic Unleashed entered production.[2][3. Hedgehog Engine is what the game was originally built on. Godot is apparently used for the graphics part of this remaster only, with the original game code still running behind the scenes. Blind Squirrel Engine just looks like it is their Godot fork.
