I loved going to this afterschool! We always did fun stuff and I was always so happy when we started a new project! I like paper weaving because it is easy an fun but it always turns out cool. I love Bernard’s teaching style because he explains everything in away that we can understand and he’s super nice. I feel like I learned a lot and I learned new forms of art. It’s the best art class in the world.
I really enjoyed the art and I would tell so many friends this is the best. I enjoyed making mysterious creatures because I love weird drawings. I love how he makes me calm and believing I can do it.

I loved attending art. I would always look forward to it in school and always had an amazing time. What I liked most about it was bonding with my other classmates and creating art. I loved creating new/ stronger friendships. I also feel my art improved significantly. Bernard is an amazing teacher and always helps me to do my best work. 10/10 would recommend this class for anyone who has an interest in art or wants to learn.
I really enjoyed drawing my fantastical sandwich. It was so fun to really test my creativity and combine everything I liked into one drawing.
I also learned a ton from portraits. It wasn’t my favorite, but I learned an incredible amount of things that benefited me the most.
I felt amazing about my portfolio. I felt super confident. I did so many pieces.
Having so many pieces gave me a big variety of choices so I felt my submission was really strong.
Every tip he gave me changed my art so much and I could see very big improvements.
I love Bernard’s teaching style. Being with him for nine years, I love the way he teaches because he makes sure every child is included and helps each one. He also does fun games when we need a break.

I did enjoy it because we had options of what we wanted to do, we had a good amount of guidance with our work but we still had some freedom with our work and we had a lot of encouragement, I would recommend it.
I really liked our first project after portfolio work because it was much less limited and I could really be myself with the work.

I loved this art class and would highly recommend it for people who are interested in learning the basics of figures, people, landscapes, and still life. I loved that we had the chance to take our time while still progressing.
I really loved learning about shadows and doing work with that because our teacher demonstrated many different situations showing how shadows worked in gray scale and in color, even with a few mediums.
I really liked how he demonstrated and then we practiced before working on an actual piece that demonstrated our knowledge.
I felt super comfortable with a pencil and all its techniques.

\"Art with Bernard was very good. I liked doing symmetrical weaving because it was sort of like a checkerboard and it looked very cool at the end. I'll be back next year!\"
