Together, we will create a space where you can be honest about what you are carrying without fear of judgment. Whether you are navigating grief, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, we will work together to help you better understand yourself, build healthy coping skills, and move toward the life you want to create.
I approach counseling with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you build insight, confidence, resilience, and hope.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you recognize your strengths while working through life's challenges.
I draw from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practices, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and strength-based approaches depending on your needs and goals. I believe counseling should be tailored to each individual because no two people experience life the same way. For clients who desire it, I am also comfortable exploring the role that faith, spirituality, and personal values may play in their healing journey.
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Associate Professional Counselor (APC), and Assistant Professor of Psychology who counsels teenagers, young adults, adults, and older adults navigate life's challenges while building confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
My background is in counseling, psychology, higher education, and mentorship and I have specialized training/experience in trauma-informed care, trauma healing, grief, and emotional wellness. I can help you work toward the goals you have for counseling using a compassionate, person-centered approach.
Growing up in South Carolina, I witnessed many people quietly carrying stress, grief, and emotional pain without feeling like they had a safe place to talk about it. Those experiences inspired my desire to help create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and understood. When I'm not counseling, you'll likely find me spending time with family, exploring a new restaurant, traveling, playing basketball, or enjoying a live theater production.
