Transform Your Space: A DIY Console Table from Home Depot

- 1-1/4" pocket hole screws
- 1-1/4" wood screws

- Sandpaper (120-grit and 220-grit)

- Drill
- Jigsaw

Design and Dimensions

Using a pocket hole jig, create pocket holes on the inside of the 1x4 stretchers and the ends of the 1x2 legs. These will be used to attach the legs and stretchers to the table top.

Lay the two 1x10 boards side by side, ensuring they are flush. Apply wood glue along the edge where they meet, then clamp them together. Allow the glue to dry according to the package instructions.
Step 4: Attach the Apron
Center the 1x10 apron board along the width of the table top, 2 inches from the front edge. Attach it using 1-1/4" wood screws.
Step 5: Attach the Legs and Stretchers
Attach the 1x2 legs to the inside of the apron using 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. The legs should be flush with the top and bottom of the apron. Next, attach the 1x4 stretchers to the inside of the legs using 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. The stretchers should be 3 inches from the top of the apron.
Step 6: Sand and Finish
Sand the table thoroughly using 120-grit sandpaper, followed by 220-grit sandpaper. Wipe off any dust, then apply your chosen stain or paint. Allow it to dry according to the package instructions.
