MyGeotab 301: Routing & Optimization – Administration

Geotab's Routing & Optimization – Administration is the configuration home where you set the foundation for the Route, Dispatch and Mobile modules. Administration presents a range of customizable options, allowing you to create Order Types & Groups, manage Resources and their schedules, configure Branches and establish advanced scheduling rotations.

This is a practical approach to optimize your operations, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient process tailored to your fleet's unique needs. We will show you how to use our provided wizards to simply configure these required items:

1. Order Types & Groups: Create an Order Type for each service your business performs, defining unique parameters such as Name and Duration.
2. Branches: Create a Branch for each operational region your business operates in, defining the Address and Operating Hours.
3. Rostering: Create a profile for each Resource who is routed and completes orders (e.g., Drivers, Technicians, etc.), defining unique parameters such as ID, Contact Number, types of Orders they can perform and schedule availability.
